Everything Tori announces that the release date for Abnormally Attracted to Sin, Tori’s 10th solo album, is MAY 19, 2009! In an interview for Spinner.com, Tori Amos revealed the tracklist and album cover for her upcoming album, Abnormally Attracted to Sin!

Tori, now signed with Universal Republic, will release her tenth studio album, titled Abnormally Attracted To Sin, scheduled to release this spring. Every track on the album will be accompanied by a corresponding ‘visualette,’ featuring footage that has been captured over the past year. Shot in HD and Super 8, the visualettes will incorporate a documentary style. Tori will be performing new songs from her upcoming album at this year’s South By South-West Music Conference in Austin, TX (Thursday, March 19) at La Zona Rosa.

A message from Tori: On parting ways with Epic/Sony and heading in the indie direction

“This is an exciting time. There will be many ways in the present and in the future for artists to cross what has become the new unchartered Music Frontier. Ways that may seem impossible today but in a months time will seem probable. There are many ways to be involved in a structure. But what kind of structure will it be and what will be the make up of it’s foundation? These are important questions, so important that I’ve been observing many different working templates in the music business for years now. The key word here is the word “working.” In some cases these structures do not work positively for some artists. Only for those who have designed the system to specifically “work” for the corporate few. Artists need not fear structure, we just have to design and partner with expansive ideas. It is time for us as artists to stop being dependent, dependent on any system that has become undependable. Only then can we help to create a new system that propagates and secures independence for each creator.”

From the mouths of the official sites: recordings of many of the shows on Tori’s American Doll Posse US Tour will be available online at Legs and Boots! Beginning with last night’s concert in Philadelphia, the entire performance will be available for digital download within a few hours of each show’s completion.

In order to provide the best possible quality audio and options, all shows released will be made available as high-quality MP3s (256 kbps), and as even higher quality FLAC files. For Tori, making FLAC files available was crucial, “for those of us into audio pornography it gives me great pleasure to give the online audience “Legs and Boots,” and with these I endeavor to give you the ultimate sonic climax.”

Complete shows in MP3s will be available for $9.99 and FLAC will be $14.99. The shows will be available for download in the MP3 format in the hours following the performance. FLAC versions, because of their dramatic size increase, will be available 4-6 days after each performance. To avoid forcing FLAC purchasers to wait for their downloads, you’ll be given the MP3 format files upon purchasing to tide you over. You can pre-buy any show and set the software to “automatically download when available.”
