Glory Of The 80's was the first
single to be released in the UK, Europe and Australia from the album,
To Venus And Back.
Originally set to release on October 18, 1999,
the Glory Of The 80's single was set
to consist of a two part single, one of which would be a
limited edition. Later, the singles were delayed
until November 1, 1999. The Australian single
was released
on October 11, 1999 and is the same as the European version.
The part 1 single includes the album version of Glory Of The 80's,
a non-LP b-side live version of Famous Blue Raincoat (listed
as only Blue Raincoat on the CD sleeve) and another non-LP
live b-side of Twinkle. The second disc
contains the same b-sides as the US 1,000 Oceans single, containing the live versions of Baker Baker and Winter, using the same cover as the US Bliss single. However, due to a disc misprinting, all copies of disc two were recalled.
While in Los Angeles in late September 1999, Tori filmed the Glory Of The 80's video at Universal Studios.
It is known to have been aired on MTV Europe. Screenshots and clips of this video can be seen at The Tori Amos Videography Pages.
